Roll of the Die?

I shouldn't be sitting here typing this---I should be on West Georgia's page registering for my two classes.  I have a week left before the new school year starts and already I've gotten a letter of our "meetings" that are scheduled.  Staff development that has to be done after our work hours....poor management if you ask me.  But nobody did.

We don't start until the 3rd but they have taken away our preplanning days--so a lot of us have already been up to the school getting our rooms ready.  We were given three days before the kids start and we have exactly one hour of time to work in the rooms.  I'm on three committees this year--chair of one committee (remember--I was eating my chicken biscuit and was suddenly nominated).  But all of this is okay--I figured my life is their life until the school year is over.  That's how teachers roll!

So here I sit debating....I thought it was settled with me going back to school..working on an add on degree in media.  I'm in the system, had a shot that took me a week to recover from, and I have a password.  What's the problem?  It's really not rational what I'm doing...they are getting rid of media specialists in some school systems.  Nobody thinks the library is an important place anymore, book stores are actually closing, and trees are becoming plentiful.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.  Proverbs 3:5-6

I'll put the die away and go with what I knew from the beginning.  I'm going to move forward and see where this goes.  If nothing else--the posts should be very interesting in the future.

Aw, honey. I think it's terrific that you want to advance your learning. How can that ever be a bad thing?

And can't "media" cover a wide range of topics, including on-line media? I mean, reading (in and of itself) isn't going anywhere, right??

I think you should GO FOR IT.
