Very good trip yesterday at the coal mine--I never had thought about coal before. Well....unless we were getting ready to grill but that is charcoal...so I don't know if I really had thought about the actual coal that was under ground. We learned a lot and they had houses set up to show how you would live if you were a coal miner.
The superintendent's house was gorgeous! Three stories and a wrap around porch; I already know that would never have been mine. Unless at the time I had married the superintendent--then I would have been his wife--living in the three story house. But......
the house I would have probably ended up in was the Jenny home. Three rooms straight up--kitchen, bedroom, and a small living room. Bathroom was outside in a rectangle shape box with a door. As we were in the home both of said that we could live there...right now! It felt nice and simple. Plus if it got too crowded my husband could always stay in the other living quarters.
Called a bachelor home--complete with one room--like a cracker box. He could stay there and I would call him over for dinner. That way I could have more of my things in my cute little Jenny home. Although I would change the name to Lynn's home- that's my middle name.
Heading out to a National Forest today to scout some land for a hunting trip my husband is taking in the fall. Then we will end up at my parent's house and I will stay for a few weeks. It's been fun these past few days--felt good to get out of the routine. I did pack all of my study material--mom is putting me a table in my room. Out of routine is good but out of the Word is dangerous.
