It's been a rough week at school; I know how salmon feel as they are swimming upstream. Yesterday I had to explain to a second grader what a shovel was in a picture; he had no idea what it was called.
It rained a lot and our downstairs flooded (a little) under the house. My husband had to come home and spend the afternoon working on it; now we have another "project" that will have to be dealt with. I like older houses, but they come with a price.
My hormones are in high gear this week with a lot of tears falling lately. This, in turn, magnifies anything going on to a higher level. All of this is what I call the snowball effect. Things that happen and it seems like it builds and builds.
I woke up last night with the realization that a lot of what is happening is due to the fact that I'm building on my relationship with the Lord. Satan knows what buttons to push with us; and he has really been pushing mine this week.
Samson called unto the Lord and said, O Lord God, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes. Judges 16:28
Samson lost the strength that God intended for him because he indulged his weakness--Philistine women! At the end God restored him when he prayed for help. When things are going on we need to take a moment and ask God to remember us and pray for His strength.
I think I'll put all of my "snowballs" this week to good use!
SideBar: When I finished writing this post I went upstairs and my husband is going on a business trip--out of t-shirts. So now I'm trying to do a fast wash and dry within an hour. Then I was running--yes running on the treadmill when the power cord shorted out and it stopped. Oh, my back! I think winter has just hit big time this week!

Rough day! Hope tomorrow is better. :)
OUCH! You didn't fall, did you? Off the treadmill when the power cord failed??
Hope you're okay. What a stressful day!
