Saturday's Musings

Muse - to think deeply and at length; meditate (Webster 3rd Ed.)

I've had a lot to think about this week; with my daughter's father-in-law still in ICU. Yesterday I wanted to gather all that are close to me, close my eyes, and tap my heels together three times. It worked for Dorothy; but then things were still the same when my eyes opened. I'm concerned for their lives and the hardships that they are having to go through.

Then the Lord reminded me that He was still in charge and was the only one that knew the outcome. Our part is to place our trust in Him; no matter the circumstances that surround us. Does He cause hardships on purpose? Sometimes, but not always. We were never promised easy, that comes in the next world. We were promised that He would never leave us or forsake us. His strength would carry us through this life and whatever problems that brings. Our faith shouldn't depend on if we are having a good day or not.

In my anguish I cried to the Lord, and he answered by setting me free. The Lord is with me, I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? Psalm 118:5-6
