Roadblocks

It's been a rough week--the minute I made a conscious decision to be Spirit directed a red alert went out in Satan's camp. "Alert--Alert-- a Christian has awakened and is looking to the Lord for guidance!!!!" No wonder there are so many verses that encourage believers to keep on and not give up.

These are the words from my study this morning:

The issue of spirituality rests upon "yieldedness" to the Holy Spirit's control. Please, please understand the most important ingredient of yieldedness. Yieldedness is always the result of a deliberate choice to yield....to consciously surrender. The spiritual life will never come"naturally."

Beth Moore went on to say that surrender must be a daily choice. For me, I have to surrender by the minute!

I must close; I have felt the need to complete my grocery shopping at Wal-mart this morning before I go to work!! Do you think we bring some of the struggles on ourselves?

I believe that by not intentionally yielding to the Spirit daily, even hourly, I bring many of my struggles on myself. There is complete freedom in surrendering everything to God...my problem is I always try to take it back! Our preacher said Sunday something that has stuck with me this week. "Ask anything, surrender everything!"

I'm right there with you Susan! I'm thankful God's grace is unending. The saints struggled with this same issue and they had Christ with them. That makes me feel better --if that makes any sense.
