This is it; the official day of my last year in my 4th decade! I woke up this morning with thoughts running through my head. I always have a conversation going on inside, and then it occurred to me that I went the entire day yesterday and didn't talk to the Lord much. How can a person who has a dialog going on 24/7 not say much to the Lord?
I'm slowly making my way through the Bible using the Matthew Henry commentaries as I go. In Judges there was this man and the people wanted him to lead them. The scripture says that the first thing he did was bring all of this thoughts to the Lord--first. God gives us this freedom that allows us to bring ALL of our thoughts and concerns to Him. We should use this example of consulting the Lord in EVERYTHING we do first.
So today I am consciously reigning in my thoughts and rerouting them to the Lord!
I have presents upstairs--going to be a great day!
