Throwing It Out There

I was just wondering:  why some blogs require your name, e-mail address, and your web site before they allow you to leave a comment?

There are two blogs I like but they require all of this information just to leave a comment.  Why?

If I really like the blog and trust them, it's okay with me. They are trying to keep out the spam bots and internet trolls. :-)
