Humble Pie

It's been a week!  Not much happening with my writing these past few days.  I have to admit I allowed it to slip a little lot.  Several things happened this past week which got me all up in a tizzy.   On top of that somebody reminded me that maybe I needed to follow a post I had written on the subject.

Then, not once but several times, my own offspring have brought some things to my attention.  I guess they felt the need to "readjust" some of my attitudes.  I have to admit there was some mental huffing and puffing going on within.  "How dare they tell me what I should do!"  "How dare they take my words and actions--turning them around in a different light."  Anyway--you get the picture.

The sermon this morning was on arrogance---can you believe it?  The pastor is involved--unbelievable!  When you allow confidence to cross the line into arrogance--you stop listening to what others are saying.

So thanks to all--you were right.  I needed a reminder to put my faith into practice and not just on paper or cyber space.   I absolutely love each one of you!

And I'm also thankful:

I only had to eat a small piece---this time!
