With All Your Heart

When we think about how much time people actually give God, we can understand why the Bible so strongly encourages us to seek Him.  We must seek Him daily.

Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

Jesus plainly told us what our number one goal and priority should be.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
 Matthew 22:37

In other words, we can't just love God when we need Him to help us; we can't love Him only when it's convenient for us or popular; we shouldn't just pay attention to Him when we're at church.  We are to love Him from our hearts--not out of fear or obligation. (Joyce Meyer-Power Thoughts)

Slowly--I mean very slowly, I'm coming to understand what it means to seek God.  At times I can feel a longing deep within my heart of wanting more of Christ--then it slips away.  Sometimes I feel that this God, my Creator, is like a mist--you can see it, almost get a hold of it--then it evaporates, leaving me with a sense of who He is and wanting more.

God promises that those who have a sincere desire to know Him; will find Him.
