Going in Circles

That's me--yesterday; it's been crazy!  Up before four, did my three miles on the treadmill and at work by 7:15--a.m.  I went full steam at work, left for one meeting, left that meeting early for my lab at the middle school and got back home at 4:30.  Upon which I put supper together and left to work in the church library by 5:30--p.m.  Arrived back home by seven--and my wonderful son had cleaned the kitchen for me!

Working with one of my groups yesterday and we finished our book.  One of the little boys actually sighed and said, "I wish there was just one more page so we can find out what happened next."   These are the moments that make teaching worthwhile.  So we created that one more page and they added to the story.

I've been putting in lab hours at a middle school media center this week and I have discovered something.  I love middle school kids!  Now, I don't know where that is coming from but I have enjoyed working with them this week.  I go again today and will work until 4:30--which reminds me I need to register at West Georgia to finish up this media degree.  I'm not continuing with the university here.

A lot of discussion going on at work because I'm wearing make-up now and fixing my hair.  Even the kids are taking it upon themselves to feel free to critique my appearance.

"Mrs. Holmes, your hair has different colors in it.  I see brown and I see white!"  (Thanks a lot)

"Mrs. Holmes, are you wearing make-up?" (Yes)  "Oh, I wondered what that was on your eyes."  (Good Grief)

The staff thinks I have a boyfriend--which I do........my husband!  All I can say is I must have really let myself go--which I had gotten to the point where it took me all of three seconds to get ready for work.  But there is a price to pay to go from this:
If this is you--sorry!

to this:

Have a Great Day!

I've actually thought about going back to school and getting another degree, possibly a media degree. I don't have any debt for my undergraduate and graduate degrees (b/c my undergraduate loans were forgive and my graduate degree was paid for by my employer), so I've been leery to go back to school!

That before picture WAS me.

No, I'm kidding.

But it basically could have been, only I have brown hair.

Oh, the innocent comments from kids!
I'm glad to hear you are getting all "Audrey" on us! I think that is really nice... and shows an inner shift. Has your "boyfriend" noticed yet??
