Daily Bread

Give us this day our daily bread.  Matthew 6:11

Last night at church we had a showing from a famous fashion photographer--Michael Belk.  He spent his whole life photographing famous people all over the world.  Then the Lord started touching his heart and he turned it over to Him.  He had an idea of going over to Italy and using the parables of Christ, yet in a modern day setting.  He used real people in his shoots and the man who represented Christ is very authentic looking.  His presentation last night was uplifting and inspiring.

Last year when the stock market fell and the housing bubble burst; he said they lost everything.  He really had to step out on faith with this project.  One of the frames was called "Daily Bread".  In this shoot, he shows Christ sitting at a table smiling at a man who was hoarding all of the bread.  His message was trust Christ enough that He will provide for today.  Don't spend time worrying about tomorrow, but enjoy what life has to offer today.  Christ only works through the day that is at hand.  We don't have to worry because Christ will provide for our means.

To me the man could have been sitting with Christ and enjoying a meal; instead he is wrapped up with providing for himself.  I miss so much worrying about tomorrow and then the day --today--is over.
