Dorothy?

Christmas Last Year
It's crazy but ever since I actually turned fifty, I feel like Dorothy who woke up surrounded by pint size people and a house that crushed a wicked witch. Maybe youth is my "wicked witch" and it's time to put on my red shoes and hop onto this yellow coated (hopefully gold) brick road.

I know for the first time, in a long time, I've made a decision to regain my health. It has only taken thirty years, but I've finally learned that if you put trash in, you get trash out--just a little more compacted. I'm starting the Insanity tapes (sorry-dvd's reflection of my age)--they are named appropriately. I must be making progress because I actually hesitate now before I put something into my mouth.

My journey with Christ is becoming more defined as I age; I do wish I had started this earlier in my life. But like Alice with the looking glass; it's probably best I don't step through. Take things for what they are, knowing forgiveness has already covered the past, and His grace will take me through the future.

I plan on putting pictures on my blog; I love posts when they include a picture. Okay--goal number one is to learn how to upload (correct?) pictures onto posts.  No that is not Dorothy, it was the only picture I could figure out how to upload onto this post.  It's a start!

I changed my title; I was starting to feel like an older woman who sits around with a cup of tea and just thinks. I want to move! I want the Lord to lead me into new adventures maybe even picking up a few friends along the way.

So pack a few things for the trip and we will see what this year brings; maybe meet a few flying monkeys along the way!

I love the new layout. Being a former 'Kansan,' I like the title as well!
Every day at school is different. Everything is all so new that I think this whole year is going to be like my first year of teaching again! The people I work with are all very helpful and understanding, but I'm just kind of going along with everything trying to stay 'afloat.' LOL How is your year going?

It threw me... I thought I was at a different blog, and finally got it, that you had changed the name! LOL! (one of my favorite movies, by the way)

Sounds like you are ready to shake things up and let the Lord lead on a new adventure. How wonderful!

And I'm actually feeling that way myself. :-)
