Power of Faith

Above all, taking the shield of faith, where with ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. Ephesians 6:16

Faith is all in all to us in an hour of temptation. Faith, as receiving Christ and the benefits of redemption, so deriving Grace from Him, is like a shield, a sort of universal defense. Faith is the shield with which we must quench thee fiery darts, wherein we should receive them, and so render them ineffectual, that they may not hit us, or at least that they may not hurt us. Faith, acted upon the Word of God and applying that, acted upon the Grace of Christ and improving that, quenches the darts of temptation. (Matthew Henry)

Two things that caught my attention: the benefits of redemption & faith, acted upon the Word of God.

When I hear the word benefit I think of a policy. In order to know what you have, you have to read the policy in its entirety. Becoming familiar with it in order to know how you are covered. Again the word acted is aligned with the Word of God. Application is necessary for any benefits to be applied.
