It all started innocently enough--I had put a roast in the crock pot before work. The smell was awesome as I put the key into the lock and opened up the kitchen door. I was starving; I put in a baked potato for my husband and remembered there was some Korean sticky rice in the fridge--for me. Took some of the broth and made a little gravy for the beef.
Got a bowl and put a helping (no, not the 1/2 cup portion size helping, maybe a cup) of rice right smack in the middle of the bowl. Now here is where things get a little sticky (no pun intended--Korean sticky rice). I'm trying to watch my eating--making it slightly more healthy--but not the Dr. Oz throwing everything away that isn't made from cardboard (wheat)kind of eating. I put some beef on top of the rice, then proceeded to add some gravy, on top of that the idea of adding grated sharp cheese would be to die for, and sprinkled soy sauce as the grand finale. Now what I really wanted was crushed up chips, but I don't keep them in the house (small blessing to my stomach).
I carried my treasure to the t.v. and ate the whole thing--it was wonderful! It was so good that I went back and relived the whole experience but in a smaller portion. Yes, don't rub your eyes, you read correctly--two bowls of this delectable concoction.
That's it, just a small confession. Do I regret it? No, loved every minute of it and will probably do it again.
