Saturday's Musings

It was a wonderful day yesterday! My husband and I enjoyed a cup of coffee by the tree early in the morning--yes early--we can't help it! We had Christmas breakfast at 7:30 with my daughter, son-in-law, and his mother. Then let the games begin--presents! I like how we open gifts, one at time, taking our time with each gift--lots of hugs and pictures.

They left for Warm Springs and we literally just had a relaxing day--old movies, two naps (that was me), and enjoying being at home. Then my daughter returned for Christmas dinner, along with my son's girlfriend. We played a game and the day ended. It's nice to have these days with your family together.

I am very thankful for the blessings, material & spiritual, that we have. God has promised He would meet your needs--but not always your wants. Nothing heavy today as far as reflections--just thankful for a life that has been richly blessed.

Amen!! I am so thankful for all God has done in all of our lives and how He has blessed each one of us this year!

That sounds a lot like my Christmas day, quiet with old movies. And some of those old movies had unapologetic spiritual messages, especially the ones set around Christmas time. They were so nice, and brought back memories.
