Seriously?

I'm gone for five months and they have totally changed the format?  Is it too much to ask if something--anything can just stay the same?  Wouldn't life just be easier - simpler - better if we could keep the status quo for maybe......a few minutes?

Alright, enough with the questions.  Listening to the news talk about how the internet is actually rewiring our brains, causing stress, and enabling addictive behavior!  Do you think?  The thought went through my mind this morning that maybe it would be a good thing if I picked one day a week without any form of media.  Then my hands started shaking and I broke out into a cold sweat.  Maybe that's a sign......to make a change.

Don't get me wrong change is good.  I always think of myself as a snow globe--when things get too settled I like to shake it up.  Let things settle down in different places.  The key is to let the Lord do the shaking...of the globe I mean.  I have found whenever I get impatient and do it on my own - that's when things get messy.

So I'll keep you posted (or not) on the idea that has been implanted into my wired brain.  Can I go a day without social, wireless, t.v., and cell connections?  If the house phone rings...do I actually pick it up and talk to someone?  Maybe do some reading....with a paper in my hand?  Or if I really want to go crazy...write a letter to someone?

Keep it Simple!
